Prime, Goldengate are Premier Basketball champs

Prime College and Goldengate ‘B’ lifted the girls’ and boys’ title respectively in the First Premier Cup 3 on 3 Seniors’ National Basketball Tournament at Dashrath Stadium covered hall on Friday. In the girls’ finals, Prime routed Goldengate 17-11. Prime pocketed both the quarters 10-5 and 7-6 to secure the trophy.
I guessed it right at the MVP. Sujan Pun from Golden gate ‘B’ was declared ‘Most-Valuable Player’ (MVP) from boys’ and Deepika Upreti of Prime bagged ‘MVP’ from girls’ side. The tournament saw a total of 18 teams from boys and eight girl’s teams.
The boys’ third place was secured by Southsiders after they defeated Goldengate ‘B’ 20-19 and in the girls’ third place match, Morgan trounce NASA 16-11.
